model sambilan

week 10

ok, baby sekarang sudah 10 minggu :). nampak jantung dia dup dup dup!
last saturday pegi kelas antenatal. kelas tak boring, best! tetibe time tu rasa macam takut nak beranak huhu..
doktor tu cerita je aku dh rasa macam aku nak beranak dan dan tu haha! semua yang datang perut dh besar besar, dah 24 minggu, 37 minggu. tetibe aku sorang je yg xde perut besar macam tu. tak sabar nk perut besarrrrrr dan bulat! hihi.. comel je aku tgk perut mereka mereka itu. rasa nak pegang je perut diorang :p.

aku dan encik suami decide to bank our baby's cord blood stem cells with stemlife! kami rasa ia sangat bagus. malang kan tidak berbau, so ini adalah salah satu insuran pada masa depan. serius, sesiapa yang bakal melahirkan anak, silalah berbuat demikian. lepas je baby lahir, stem cells akan diambil dari cord blood baby tu then akan dihantar ke stemlife untuk disimpan. katakanlah, baby tu tetibe ada penyakit macam leukimia ke talasemia ke. memang kalau boleh kita taknak benda benda jadi kt baby kite kan. tp benda ni semua kita tak boleh nak jangka. kat sini lah stem cells tu membantu. stem cells tu akan reproduce red blood, white blood and platletes. jadi, stem cells tu akan diberi kepada pesakit dan stem cells tu akan mula create cells baru. oh ya! bukan baby tu je boleh guna stem cells tu, parents dia, adik beradik dia pun boleh guna kalau tetibe family dia memerlukan stem cells tu. dun worry, stem cells tu tahan sepanjang hayat!

kisah benar:
Thalassaemia

Xian was born in January 2003. Her umbilical cord blood stem cells were stored in a local private stem cell bank, StemLife. Though her parents were both Thalassaemia minor (carriers) she was fortunate to be neither a Thalassaemia Major nor Minor.

Her younger sister Shu Min, born in June 2005, was less fortunate. She was diagnosed with Thalassaemia Major.

In January 2006, Shu Min underwent a stem cell transplant using Xian's stem cells which were stored with a local private bank, StemLife. Shu Min has since recovered and happily returned home.

Were it not for the stem cell transplant, Shu Min might have had to undergo continuous strenuous blood tranfusions and subcutaneous desferrioxamine infusion therapy routines.

The stem cell transplant not only gave Shu Min good health but also a better quality of life.

Week 10: Graduation Day has arrived!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 10: fetus in third month Your astonishingly tiny baby has been hard at work growing as fast as possible—almost doubling in size in the past three weeks! Amazingly, you’re in for a repeat size doubling performance within the next three weeks! Your tiny champion still weighs less than a quarter of an ounce but has already completed the most critical stage of their development. Using Doppler technology, your doctor or gynecologist can let you hear their tiny rapid fetal heartbeats this week (145-165 beats per minute!). Chances for miscarriage are greatly reduced when the heartbeat can be detected, so take a sigh of relief if you’ve been needing one—it hasn’t been an easy ten weeks! What’s more, they’re getting ready to make their first baby poop! Your little one’s major organ systems are developing, including a functioning digestive tract capable of moving food all the way through their bowels. The final shiny gold star on their fetal behavior chart for the week: your little scrapper has already developed defense mechanisms to protect them on reflex!
